Vanguard Gunworks is a veteran owned/operated local business that is dedicated to serving The Villages and the surrounding communities in all their firearm needs. We try to obtain the newest guns for our inventory, but will special order items that you want. We also buy used guns, complete FFL transfers from other sellers, and facilitate private party sales between individuals. Our certified gunsmith can repair, modify, and service the firearms you already have. We also offer a custom AR build with you in mind. We work together to determine what you want in it and piece it together at a lower cost to you.

About Our Gunsmith

Joe Flores is an Army veteran who served as an Airborne Infantryman. After a wonderful tour overseas during the Persian Gulf War, he left the military for a career in law enforcement near his hometown in southwest Ohio. He retired in 2017, and he and his lovely wife moved into their RV so they could devote their time to exploring this beautiful country of ours. After taking in their 50th state, they headed back to the Sunshine State to put down some new roots in The Villages, Florida. Once settled, Joe wanted to get back into firearms and has been working in the industry since 2020. Joe is a graduate of Sonoran Desert Institute and holds an Associate of Science degree in Firearms Technology.
